Engaging with caring in learning requires moving beyond traditional formats that do not engage emotional/affective contemplation in application.</p><p><strong>Method: </strong>A mini course was designed to expose undergraduates to the principles and personal application of the 10 Caritas Processes<sup>®</sup> using three interrelated contemplative activities.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Student comments and journals are presented as evidence of understanding the purpose of caring values and how to begin to apply them in practice.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Contemplative activities aid in developing caring values necessary for practice.
