This was an epoch-making event in the history of Nuclear Medicine in Japan as well as in the World. The huge success of the meeting contributed a lot to the rapid and remarkable progress of nuclear medicine thereafter. The author served as a secretary of the local organizing committee for the Congress. The author would like to record the event summarizing the publications made by the local organization committee. The author would like to share with nuclear medicine professionals of younger generations the unforgettable experiences which he has kept in memory for the past half a century.
