The expression/levels of inflammatory markers were measured to reflect periodontal inflammation.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Although the differences were not all significant in each premolars/molars, the mesial/distal ABH and buccal/lingual ABT were lower, and the mesial/distal BMD was higher in patients in the HRT group than those in the control group. In a rat model of periodontitis, the alveolar bone loss was relieved by HRT.
