AgNPs were coated on porous Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> ceramics by a chemical reduction method. The porous Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> ceramics coated with AgNPs had high antibacterial properties, and the antibacterial rate against <em>S. aureus</em> was up to 98.8 %. Preparation and antibacterial properties of porous alumina ceramics coated with silver nanoparticles
