[Evaluation of the dynamics of mortality over short time intervals].

Discusses the problem of assessing the time course of demographic values for short periods of time under conditions when stable long-term tendencies are absent. The author proposes to solve this problem by an extra analysis of alternative demographic models, e.g. Brass model. The method is illustrated by data for the Saratov district.
