[Health potential as a positive criterion in comprehensive assessment of the health status of workers engaged in tungsten plant].

The sample social-hygienic and biochemical studies of health status were made in employees of tungsten works. The notion "health potential" is formulated. It consists of biochemical, immunological and functional components. Biochemical status of the workers was assessed in relation with disease incidence rates. Prenosological correction of health status including measures of primary prevention can produce positive changes in both health and performance of the workers.
