Many of the protein-coding genes were predicted to encode proteins involved in carbon metabolism pathways, such as aromatic degradation and methane metabolism. Notably, a total of 31 genes were predicted to encode form II carbon monoxide dehydrogenases, suggesting potential for carbon monoxide oxidation.
