Accordingly, there is an urgent need to control and monitor the <i>Cronobacter</i> species in food, especially in powdered infant formula (PIF) and other baby foods. Cronobacter Species in Powdered Infant Formula and Their Detection Methods.
Cronobacter species have been associated with disease outbreaks and sporadic infections, particularly in premature and immunocompromised infants.
