With the population aging at a longer life expectancy today, advanced degenerative spinal diseases and idiopathic scoliosis supersede as the most common causes of adult spinal deformity. Correction of the thoracolumbar malignment, specifically, has rapidly evolved with the burgeoning success of spinal instrumentation.
