Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Cochrane, EBSCO, Google Scholar, Journals@Ovid, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, and ScienceDirect databases were searched for peer-reviewed literature. Walker and Avant's method guided this theoretical analysis. <b>Results:</b> Seven articles were retained for discussion in this theoretical analysis. <b>Implications:</b> The IMCHB has been used in past health promotion research and can guide future nursing research that supports interventions for informal caregivers.
