poem is essentially dramatic;her dramatization of voice, meaning, address, trope, and the poems themselves should be considered in the light of a Shakespeare-inspired conception of theatricality that relies on the power of language more than on stage devices such as props, costumes, or sets Jasmin Herrmann's 2016 Ph D dissertation, defended at the University of Cologne, Germany, offers a reading
