The study used descriptive study methods, used sampling technique was convenience sampling with a sample of 33 school principals, and instruments used were Mixed Standard Scale for Evaluating Student Behavior and analysis data used descriptive. The results of the study show that overall the level of accountability of guidance and counseling programs in schools in East Jakarta is at a low level (49%). Second, achievements based on indicators are not significantly different (10%). Third, the highest indicator of accountability is the responsibility, while the lowest indicator is the feedback mechanism. Fourth, each school falls into the low category of 50%, medium 30%, and high 20%. Based on the results there needs to be an effort to improve the accountability of the guidance and counseling program and base of feedback mechanism indicators, teacher Guidance and counseling must create a mechanism by which the principal can submit input. Keyword: layanan dasar, accountability, guidance and counseling, school principals Akuntabilitas Kepala Sekolah di SMP Negeri se-Jakarta Timur Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran akuntabilitas layanan dasar diSMPNJakarta Timur dalam tinjauan kepala sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Secara keseluruhan tingkat akuntabilitas program BK pada sekolah di Jakarta Timur berada pada tingkat rendah (49%). Kedua, Capaian berdasarkan indikator tidak berbeda secara signifikan (10%). Ketiga, Indikator akuntabilitas yang paling tinggi capaiannya adalah tanggungjawab, sedangkan indikator yang paling rendah adalah mekanisme umpan balik. Keempat, SMPN yang masuk dalam kategori rendah 50%, sedang 30%, dan tinggi 20%. Berdasarkan implikasi di atas, maka peneliti mengajukan beberapa saran terkait dengan akuntabilitas program BK, meliputi; (1) Perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas program BK. Ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara guru melakukan refleksi diri. (2)Khusus untuk indikator mekanisme umpan balik, guru BK harus segera membuat suatu mekanisme dimana kepala sekolah dapat menyampaikan masukan. Ini dapat dilakukan denganmelakukan kegiatan konsultasi dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program BK.
