本文报道了原肾头鹬属的两个新种，黄腹滨鹬、Marques&Rafael sp.nov.和米西昂滨鹬。对该属目前唯一被识别的其他物种chiloensis Collin进行了重新描述，并将该物种的遗传数据转移到了P.flavipilus sp.nov。所有先前发表的遗传数据都指P.flaviiplus sp.nov。记录了阿根廷最早的原肾病毒记录。
