G. socia was found on Pinus sylvestris in Plovdiv City, and H. crocea - on Alnus glutinosa in the land of Iskra Village. The late-instar larvae were collected and reared in Petri dishes in laboratory conditions in Forestry Protection Station in Plovdiv.
