LA DISPONIBILIDAD LÉXICA DE ESTUDIANTES Y ACADÉMICOS DE PEDAGOGÍA EN INGLÉS DE UNA UNIVERSIDAD REGIONAL

: The lexicon is a relevant dimension for the acquisition of a second language in students who are being trained to become language teachers. The aim of this research is to analyze the lexical availability of students and academics of an English pedagogy program at a regional university. This research has a mixed-method approach, and data was collected by applying a lexical availability test made of 8 centers of interest to a sample of 350 students and 25 professors. The results were analyzed through a qualitative and quantitative perspective, including inferential statistics in order to determine whether there was any relationship between the the variable years of education and the students and academics’ lexical availability.
