This type of research is quantitative research. There are two types of data, namely quantitative data in the form of a means of measuring data from the results of a questionnaire about the factors that affect learning problems, while qualitative data is in the form of measuring tools about the results of observation and documentation at SMP Negeri 20 Palembang. There are two sources of data in this study, namely primary data including principals, teachers and students, while secondary data includes documentation from the school and books / literature. The population in this study amounted to 324 grade VII students. The sample used in this study was 10% because the subjects in the population were more than 100. Then the sampling technique was used with 10% of the total 324 students, so the sample became 30 students. The data collection techniques of this research are observation, documentation and questionnaires. While the data analysis technique is to use a statistical formula, namely Mean, Standard Deviation, TSR and then use the product moment formula. \nBased on the results of the hypothesis test that there is an influence between the factors that affect learning problems on student learning outcomes of Islamic Education at SMP Negeri 20 Palembang. This is evident from the results of calculations using the Product Moment Correlation formula, with r table (Product Moment) either at a significant level of 5% or a level of 1% by calculating df first with the formula df = N-2, namely 30 - 2 = 28 tapped in the table. With df = 28, it is obtained at a significant level of 5% of 0.361 and a significant level of 1% of 0.463.
