Currently, he is a full professor and coordinator of the industrial chemistry and bachelor's chemistry degree courses at the UFSM. Dr. Dressler’s research activities mainly include trace analysis and environmental chemistry, involving the techniques of atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), flow injection analysis (FIA), electrothermal vaporization (ETV) and laser ablation (LA).
