The Specific Challenges of Globalization for Teaching and Vice Versa
The first part of this article examines the historical emergence of contemporary globalization phenomena through Protestantism, European colonialism, technology and the restructuring of international business enterprise, and the rise of various forms of fundamentalism. The changing mandates of teaching and education under the influence of these phenomena are identified.
