Internacionalização no Ensino Superior e o Brasil como Case Study
Internationalization has been one of the most critical factors that has shaped higher education in the past three decades. In addition to transforming higher education, internationalization has changed substantially. The bifurcation of internationalization in two interdependent pillars, "at home" and "abroad", is evidence of this change. Through a qualitative study, using primary and secondary data and content and document analysis techniques, the study aims to make a diagnosis of the internationalization of higher education institutions among three types of Brazilian Universities, namely: a Private HEI, non-profit, confessional and philanthropic, a Federal Public HEI and a Private HEI for profit. The results indicated the convergence of specialists regarding the perception of internationalization in Brazilian Universities and significant differences regarding culture, awareness, focus of activities, priorities, risks and benefits of internationalization.
