Neurobiologiczne uwarunkowania nauki języków obcych

This article covers the issues relating to the cerebral organisation of speech functions and the neurobiological foundations of the processing of linguistic information, and identifies the individual factors that play a crucial role in the process of learning a foreign language. With regard to neuropsychological considerations, special attention is given to the importance of cerebral hemisphere asymmetry. Insight into the biomedical foundations of language processing and the processes that condition language acquisition should be of interest to those involved in teaching foreign languages.
