The notes show the manner of Benois reading, his high erudition and creative comprehension of the text. In autumn 2020, the collection of Benois books was enhanced by “Aus Meinem Leben” of W. Tischbein (Berlin, 1922) bought especially for the Pushkin Museum by M. Karisalov. There are numerous marks in it as well. Now all the books with margin notes are digitalized.
