Biogeochemical Engineering

The article considers the possibility of transition from the fundamental ideas of V.I. Vernadsky to biogeochemical (BGCh) technologies. It is shown that with the use of the proposed technologies, BGCh cycles are restored, primarily in the microbial chain. Examples of microbial contamination assessment are given. In addition, biogeochemical approaches are used to estimate the values of geoecological risk in the conditions of the functioning of the gas industry in polar ecosystems. The consistency of the proposed technologies with existing production approaches, in particular EIA (environmental impact assessment), is considered. Solutions of the problem of adaptive recultivation of disturbed tundra soils against the background of increasing climate continentality are given. Finally, a set of biogeochemical technologies protected by patents of the Russian Federation is shown.
