Training is one of the most important tools to develop employee's performance in the organisation. The purpose of training is basically to bridge the gap between the job requirements and present competence of an employee. In this study, the researcher analyes the employee's perception on how the training practices could improve their performance effectively and efficiently. A total of 100 employees were randomly selected as sample in HOV software company, Chennai. To analyse the data, SPSS software package used the statistical tools such as descriptive analysis, Chi-square test, U-test, H-test and correlation also were used. The result of the study is male and postgraduate employees have low perception on training practice to improve their performance and the trainer's knowledge and qualification, method of training also are more positively correlated with respect to employees’ performance.
