Effiziente Aufnahme und orthogonale Darstellung von Laserscans zur Erstellung von Bestandsplänen historischer Gebäude / Efficient Surveying and Orthogonal Projection of Laser Scans for the Creation of As-built Plans of Historical Buildings
The lack of current and accurate inventory plans is a well-known problem for owners of historic buildings. Often, only outdated plans are available for restoration planning, and creating new CAD plans would be costly and time-consuming. This paper uses a concrete example to show how laser scan data can be quickly – and efficiently – used to create an exact as-built plan, especially for large buildings. The aim of the cooperation between RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems as a manufacturer of laser scan systems and EKG Baukultur as a service provider and user of laser scanners was to survey Schloss Eckartsau in Lower Austria. The acquisition of the scan data took place in a combination of terrestrial and UAV-based laser scanning.
