Eligibility criteria for selecting studies This dataset contains literature across sciences and social sciences in the form of journal research articles, excluding systematic reviews and surveys. The search includes literature in all languages. Results This study presents the landscape of emerging technology and global health, depicts the quality of innovation, and reveals the innovation trends. It demonstrates the major players and major sources of innovation, captures innovation foci and detects research blanks. Conclusion This bibliometric analysis, which is conducted on scientific research, outlines the quality and impact of innovation in Emerging Technologies and Global Health. Submissions to BMJ Innovations will be considered from all clinical areas of medicine along with business and process innovations that make healthcare accessible and affordable. Submissions from groups of investigators engaged in international collaborations are especially encouraged. The broad areas of innovations that this journal aims to chronicle include but are not limited to: Medical devices, mHealth and wearable health technologies, Assistive technologies, Diagnostics, Health IT, systems and process innovation.
