摘要
本文研究了欧·亨利最受欢迎的作品之一《贤者的礼物》中的性别主题。本文使用韩礼德的功能语法及物性分析进行分析(Matthiessen, C Halliday, 2014)。所分析的文本数据是条款中的过程类型、参与者角色和情况类型。结果表明，男性角色比女性角色更有可能使用被认为具有更多能量的物质过程。
