The method used in this study is a quantitative method and this type of research is descriptive. The population of this study was to 63 students. The sampling technique is total sampling technique, as many as the 2018 students in Japanese language education study program at Universitas Negeri Padang. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive with a percentage.The results of this study are the average questionnaire of the motivation to learn Japanese for the 2018 Students in Japanese Language Education Study Program at UNP. The Motivation to learn Japanese students in 2018 students in Japanese Language Education Study Program at UNP has an average score of 70.6% which is category in classified as \"high\". Which is based on the hopes and aspirations as the highest motivation in learning Japanese, obtaining the highest score with a percentage of 81.7% which is included in \"very high\" category. 摘要

本研究旨在确定2018届UNP日语教育学习项目学生学习日语的动机。本研究使用的方法是定量方法,这种类型的研究是描述性的。这项研究的研究对象是63名学生。抽样技术是总抽样技术,与2018年巴东内杰里大学日语教育学习项目的学生一样多。使用的数据收集技术是李克特量表的问卷调查。使用的数据分析技术是带有百分比的描述性分析。本研究的结果为2018届清华大学日语教育研修班学生日语学习动机的平均问卷。2018年UNP日语教育学习项目学生的平均得分为70.6%,属于“高”类别。这是基于希望和愿望作为学习日语的最高动机,获得最高分数81.7%,属于“非常高”类别。这些对未来的希望和抱负包括学生未来想要的工作,比如在日本公司工作,成为教育工作者/教师,以及在与日语相关的领域工作。
