Two papers discuss improvements to lumped element isolator and circulator designs through improved techniques and a novel gyrator circuit. A lefthanded periodic, ferrite-filled waveguide structure was modeled and fabricated. Measurements confirmed the existence of pass-bands below the waveguide cut-off frequency. Ferromagnetic RF integrated inductors are described that exhibit a record breaking Q 12 at 1GHz using soft CoNbZr films and closed magnetic circuits.
