SYNERGIC USE OF DRAWINGS AND MODELS IN TEACHING

The drawing and the model are fundamental means of presenting a work of architecture. At present, drawings are made both by hand and digitally. Models and mock-ups are made in a similar manner. The balance between the material and virtual dimensions impacts the training of future architects. The objective of this paper is to present the results of the synergic use of traditional techniques drawing and model-making in teaching against a background of their evolution. The analyses and conclusions presented in the paper, formulated on the basis of the author’s teaching assignments, enabled the observation of effects of synergy, measured against educational outcomes.
