Finding the spread source of transformer brittleness can avoid the transformer failures. In this paper, the method and step of building the brittle model based on the chart theory are brought forward. Building a model of 7 nodes to transformer and analyze it. Obtaining the layered electric power system brittle model and the brittle source. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is applied to build a three-layer brittle model for transformer. The relative important degree order vector of transformer failures is obtained for certain factor in certain layer. The high danger degree spread sources are found by defining the danger degree of the spread sources. As long as they are monitored intentionally, the transformer brittleness can be avoided from happening to the maximal degree.
