Identifying the characters, methods and values contained in batik nitik is the initial basis for reviving the culture or tradition of nitik as a prolonged creativity to protect and provide spirit, enthusiasm and values. This research was conducted qualitatively, literature study and interpretation of the subject, namely the nitik tradition through observation, observation and interviews with some experts and batik artists in Yogyakarta as a phenomenon in traditional art.
