This study discovered that strict lockdown in the wake of Covid-19 reduced consumption and mobility and thus, paved way for decline in NO2 emission in Europe. Satellite images show that NO2 emission is low in countries with strict bans on mobility. Similarly, decline in consumption is correlated in NO2 emission.
