Prepared samples first calcined at 900C for 4 hours and then sintered at 1150 C for 4 hours. The X-Ray powder diffraction data analysed to identify the phases present in the crystalline ceramic. An additional phase of Sm-Fe-O was observed for the sample at x = 0.15. Lattice parameter, strain and saturation magnetization found to be decreasing whereas crystallite size and coercivity found to be vary with samarium content.
