Studies concerning the effects of contact time, sorption temperature and initial XO concentration were discussed. Results of batch experiments showed that CMC-β-CDP exhibited some sorption capacities towards XO. The isotherm fitted Freundlich model for the sorption of XO on CMC-β-CDP. The sorption capacities of CMC-β-CDP, β-cyclodextrin polymer (β-CDP) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) towards XO in aqueous solutions were investigated.
