La historia del lector y la Escritura según Orígenes (Prin. IV 1)

Abstract: This article studies the role of the reader’s history in the Origenian discussion of the nature of Scripture according to Prin. IV, 1. In other words, it analyses the relevance of post-Biblical history in clarifying the nature of the biblical text. According to Origen, the historical events foretold by Jesus, which have recently been verified, such as the expansion and persecution of Christianity, show Jesus of Nazareth’s divine nature. In turn, the divinity of Jesus shows that the prophecies that had announced him are inspired (OT) and that the words of Jesus are divine (NT).
