Thus, this paperwork integrates crowbar protection with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to improve Fault Ride Through (FRT) capability. For performance evaluation under transient conditions, a three-phase symmetrical fault is imposed at a time of 2 seconds. By using the suggested technique, the DC-link voltage is observed to improve and remain at 1150 V with minor fluctuation. Likewise, the stator and rotor currents are observed to remain at their nominal value after 2.15 seconds.
