This case study report compares two adult learners� language learning experiences from social and cognitive SLA perspectives. The key findings reveal that both of the learners mostly relied on three significant factors such as motivation, learners� identity and inter-linguistic influences to acquire the language. 摘要

对第二语言习得的深入研究揭示了影响学习者学习第二语言过程的各种因素。研究充分的因素可能包括年龄、语言间影响、语言能力、认知、动机等等。本案例研究报告从社会和认知两方面比较了两名成人学习者的语言学习经历。研究发现,两类学习者主要依赖动机、学习者身份和语际影响这三个重要因素来习得语言。根据研究结果,本文提出了一些教学建议,以最大限度地提高英语课堂实践的有效性。
