However, they face the challenges of temperature stability and sensitive lead in/out disturbance. In this paper, we proposed a novel two-core fiber interferometric (TCFI) strain sensor, which utilizes the strain induced phase difference between the two cores for strain measurement and a polarization effect to obtain high S/N ratio and stability; also, we give experimental results. The experimental results are generally in accordance with the theory.
