Methods: When ‘epiretinal membrane surgery’ was searched on the YouTube search engine, the first 100 videos on this topic were evaluated. These videos were then analyzed and scored using DISCERN, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and Global Quality (GQ) scoring systems. Results: The evaluated videos had a DISCERN score of 30.0 ± 7.8, a JAMA score of 1.5 ± 0.6, and a GQ score of 1.8 ± 0.6. When the results of epiretinal membrane surgery were evaluated according to the quality scoring of these three scoring systems, the DISCERN score was evaluated as poor, the JAMA score as low quality, and the GQ scored as poor quality.
