Recent studies have shown that wireless caching is a successful method for resolving the conflict between the massive data traffic and the limited transmission rate. This study looks at a software-defined network caching strategy that uses two separate caches on mobile devices to store files with different popularity using different caching methods. It is possible to download the requested files locally, through device-to-device collaboration, or from cellular network. The cooperative caching strategy also aims to increase the cache hit probability.
