CURSOS DE LICENCIATURA EM MATEMÁTICA E OS PCN: INVESTIGAÇÃO DA EXISTÊNCIA DE COERÊNCIA À LUZ DO ENSINO DE ESTATÍSTICA

Este artigo é um recorte de uma pesquisa de Mestrado realizada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciência e Tecnologia da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, e tem como objetivo investigar se há coerência entre os documentos oficiais dos cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) para os anos finais do Ensino Fundamental e Médio, no que diz respeito ao ensino de Estatística. Como relevância desta pesquisa, tem-se que os acadêmicos dos cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática serão os responsáveis por alcançar os objetivos propostos para a Educação Básica, assim, admite-se que os documentos oficiais que estruturam os cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática devem estar articulados, de alguma forma, com o currículo nacional vigente, a fim de garantir o alcance de tais objetivos. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa documental, com olhar para o Ensino de Estatística, nos PCN e nas Ementas e Objetivos de todos os cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática, de Universidades Públicas do Estado do Paraná. A análise constatou desencontros e mostrou uma não preocupação com o Ensino de Estatística no processo de formação dos professores.Palavras-chave: Parâmetros curriculares. Licenciatura em matemática. Ensino de estatística.ABSTRACTThis article is a piece of the Master’s research, done in the Post-graduation Program in Science and Technology Teaching of the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, and aims to investigate if there is coherence between the curricular documents from the Graduation courses in Math and the National Curricular Parameters (PCN) for elementary and high school, about the Statistics Teaching. A relevant part of this research is that the academic students from the math course will be the responsible to reach the proposed objectives for the basic education, thus, the official documents that design the Graduation courses in Math must be articulated, somehow, with the valid national curriculum, in order to reach the objectives. For this, a documentary research on Statistics Teaching, PCN, syllabi and objectives of all math graduation courses of Public Universities of the state of Paraná has been done. The analysis verified disagreements and showed a lack of concern about the Statistics Teaching in the teacher training process.Keywords: Curricular parameters. Graduation in math. Statistics teaching.
