The system that is capable of achieving both coarse and fine positioning has a wide range of applications in the field of precision engineering. This paper presents a novel method for position control of single stage dual range actuation system. In the developed system both coarse and fine positioning is achieved using ball screw actuator and a gearing mechanism. The friction in the ball screw actuator is identified using Tustin and LuGre models. 摘要
