The resonator is made of a circular waveguide segment and the periodic structure, which has form hollow cylindrical waveguide with transversal slits, is placed in this segment. When accelerating voltage was up to 20 kV the device radiated microwave power in 2-3 cm wavelength range. It was established that radiation was caused by synchronism of longitudinal velocity of cyclotron electron beam motion with phase velocity of slow space harmonic of the tube periodic structure. The synchronism of the wave and electron beam took place in a wide range of accelerating voltages. 摘要

介绍了由谐振腔和磁控枪组成的混合自由电子激光器(FEL)的研究成果。谐振器由一个圆波导段组成,在该段内放置具有横向狭缝的空心圆柱波导的周期结构。当加速电压达到20kv时,器件辐射波长范围为2 ~ 3cm的微波功率。证明了辐射是由回旋电子束运动的纵向速度与管周期结构的慢空间谐波相速度同步引起的。波和电子束的同步性发生在很宽的加速电压范围内。回旋加速器束的运动是由电磁铁的引导磁场驱动的。
