This study investigates the performance of a hybrid liquid desiccant (LD) air-conditioning system with a direct expansion (DX) evaporative cooler. Temperature, relative humidity, and power consumption were measured and reported using a wireless data-logging system at the air conditioning unit's key locations. The results showed that the hybrid unit reached a 34 % saving in the cooling load.
