The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of using line webtoon media in learning to write fantasy story texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Purwasari so that they could determine the right learning media to increase students' creativity. The research method used is a quasi-experimental form of nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Purwasari. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique, by selecting two classes, namely class VII E (experimental class) and VII A (control class). Based on the calculation results, it can be concluded that the students' ability in the experimental class in writing fantasy story texts increases. The average value of the experimental class at the time of the pretest was 62.79. After being given a media line webtoon, the average score of students increased to 82.42.
