It was found that the fused silica is optimal crystal material for external modulator of solar-blind region theoretically. Aiming at the characteristics of UV light source, a structure of external modulation signal to overcome the flicker effect of low pressure Hg lamp, named superenvelope communication system is proposed. Several bits should be transferred in each envelope, the bit rate of this system is higher than envelope speed. The parameter A0 will influence the performance of external modulation system deeply. Abstract
