Several bits should be transferred in each envelope, the bit rate of this system is higher than envelope speed. The parameter A0 will influence the performance of external modulation system deeply. Abstract

This paper presented and compared the techniques for external modulation of UV scattering communication system. It was found that the fused silica is optimal crystal material for external modulator of solar-blind region theoretically.
