Abstract

In this paper, we propose a WDM system based on microring resonator with varying radius. The number of ring resonator used represents the number of channels that can be incorporated into the system. Each channel must have distinct resonance wavelength to prevent it from overlapping. The limitation of the number of channels was investigated and analysed using 3 reference ring size of 1.00um, 5.00um and 10.00um in radius where the subsequent ring size was varied by 20nm in length.
