Abstract
This work presents the survey of the responsibility for the voltage harmonic distortion in a power system bus through a power electronics converter performing the Power Factor Correction (PFC) technique. The used methodology is the Harmonic Current Injection Method and the SEPIC converter is used for power factor correction at the Point of Common Coupling with the purpose of application of the mentioned method. The SEPIC converter accomplishing PFC is a simple strategy for application of Harmonic Current Injection Method due to no need for converter adjustments in specific harmonic orders to analyze the responsibility for particular distortion components. The proposed alternative will be compared with other techniques used for sharing of responsibility through simulation results and experimental results will be shown for the presented technique.
