The characterization result shows that the pump-charge circuit could produce the DC voltage output up to 1.94 V with the AC signal input power of 3 dBm. While the DC–DC converter implemented using LTC3526 could convert up to 2.9 V DC voltage output from 1 dBm AC signal input power at the antenna receiver. Abstract

This paper presents experimental characterization of rectifier for receiver of wireless power transfer at Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) frequency. A rectifier is used to convert a GSM alternating current (AC) signal input into a direct current (DC) signal output using pump-charge and multiplying it to another voltage level using DC–DC converter. A pump-charge is built by HSMS–2822 Schottky diodes which operate at the GSM frequency of 1800 MHz-1900 MHz and applie on five stages of voltage multiplier.
