The requirements for the quality index of the automatic control system (ACS) regulation in terms of the outlet gas temperature with significant variations of CO parameters are put forth. The topic of the structural parametric synthesis is discussed in this article. It has been proved that the usage of the adaptive ACS is necessary. The structure of the model reference adaptive system is considered. The research of the dynamic characteristics for the adaptive ACS of the outlet gas temperature with variations of CO parameters has been done according to the computer simulation technique. The authors compared energy characteristics between the main gas pipeline compressor station of the traditional discrete control method for the outlet gas temperature and the characteristics after the implementation of the developed adaptive ACS. Abstract
